Bodie Lighthouse and the end of summer

On our way out of the Outer Banks yesterday morning, we made a final stop at the Bodie Lighthouse.  After begging to go to a lighthouse all week, the kids suddenly didn’t want to go see it!  Figures!  You couldn’t climb this lighthouse, though, so it was a very short outing.

Killy had his 5 year well child checkup today, along with his Kindergarten physical.  He’s doing great!  He is off the chart for height (seriously, he’s well above the 97th percentile) and at the 84th percentile for weight, but his BMI is only the 14th percentile.  Basically, he’s crazy-tall and skinny!  But, I think we [...]

Well, the biggest news around here is that David and I started doing Weight Watchers together.  Its a really wonderful program that helps you control portion sizes while encouraging you to eat lots of fruits and vegetables.  We’re doing the online version so we don’t have to go to meetings or anything.  Reactions from family/friends [...]
