lovely Sunday
Well, the melodrama is now officially over. It was a lot of fun and I’m really glad I participated in it again. I’m so touched by all the family, friends, and co-workers who came to see it – thank you so much! It made me feel very loved to see all the friendly faces out there supporting me.
Today the kids and I got ready for church and amazingly, all our outfits coordinated and didn’t clash, so I had David take a picture of us. This is in front of our house by the flower bed that the kids planted flowers in this year:

When we got home from church, Killy and I worked together on his homework. I hope that all his homework projects will be this much fun! He needed to make a collage using five pictures of his family. He picked them out himself (notice that Ellie is not included). When he was putting them down, he started with the picture of me and said, “You go first because you borned us!”

The kids and I also sat down and wrote out the Woods Family Rules and put them on the refridgerator. Here they are:
1- No hurting people or animals.
2- Don’t say mean things.
3 – Don’t play with dangerous things.
4- Don’t destroy things.
Yesterday I came out of the shower just in time to see Killian knock Ellie down and call her a Mudblood. I sent him to his room to calm down, and then I talked to him about it. I asked him why he follows the rules at school but not at home, and he said, “We don’t have any rules at home!” WHAT?! So, that’s why we wrote down the rules and posted them today. It seems rules don’t really imprint on him unless he can see them and read them… maybe this will help? He and Ellie have been playing very nicely for the last hour or so…!

I take it that means Killy is going to be Draco for Halloween.
