Monsters vs Aliens
We went to see it today, and Killy said it was way too scary and he hated it! He laughed at several parts of it, but there were some parts that were pretty intense and apparently that’s all he can remember about it now. Oh, well… David and Ellie and I all liked it. (Ellie was a little scared, but got over it easily.) The plot wasn’t that great, but the 3-D effects were awesome and there were a lot of geeky inside jokes and references.
I have to share how brilliant I am. A couple years ago David ordered some really nice sheets for us (1000 thread count!), but he ordered a color that I didn’t like – seafoam green. All our bedding and the paint in our bedroom is a warm green. So, even though they’re the most comfortable sheets ever, we don’t use them much. I finally realized, though, that I could totally change the tone of them by washing them with one pack of Sunset Gold RIT dye. It worked like a charm! They’re now a lovely warm spring green instead of a cool sea green. I can’t wait to put them on the bed! I have another set of sheets that looked brownish-taupe at the store, but look almost grayish-purple in our room… now I’m trying to figure out what dye would change them to a color I like. Maybe a warm dark brown?
