the perfect henna (for me)

So, I figure I’ll henna my hair at the end of each month.  I’ve found the perfect recipe for my hair: two packets of Hennalucent Sunset Glo mixed with boiling water till its a nice mud consistency, let it sit for about 10 minutes, mix in a bit of (silicone-free) conditioner, smush into my barely-damp hair, leave on for about two hours, rinse out using lots of conditioner.  Its very conditioning, and you can see in the pictures below what amazing shine and red-gold highlights it gives my hair! (Indoors, my hair still looks practically the same, just a slight hint of warmth in my naturally dark brown hair.)

The kids went to a birthday party today and Ellie got her face painted and Killy got his arm painted!  We’re going to the circus tomorrow, and I think we’ll let them keep the paint on till then… if it doesn’t smear too badly during the night.  I hope it won’t shock the people at church too much tomorrow morning!

Was that the ONE RING that Ellie had on her thumb? (heh)

P.S. Your hair is absolutely beautiful!
