Quilt and Granola

First of all, here is my current quilt!

Its probably my second favorite quilt I’ve ever made (second only to this one).  It will be for the couch in our family room.  Right now I have the crazy quilt I made on the couch, but it doesn’t match the rest of the room.  The family room is done in mostly neutral beige/browns, we have wood floors, and I have several touches of red throughout the room – the chair cushions and couch pillows, a rug in front of the fire, the curtains, the tablecloth.  Now the quilt on the couch will match it all! I started this quilt over the weekend, and tomorrow I’ll pick up the batting and then put it together.  I probably won’t get the actual quilting done on it till Thursday.  But it’ll be finished as soon as I can get it done!  I can’t wait to put it in the family room!

I’ve made three batches of granola so far this week, and I’ll need to make another batch or two soon!  The kids love it so much they were doing a “granola dance:”

And listen, I know that every parent thinks their kids are the MOST adorable in the world.  But I feel the below pictures constitute indisputible proof:

I’m glad to see other kids liking homemade granola. I always thought about adding in organic dark chocolate chips. Now I think I will go ahead. I am sure my 4 year old will thank you! :-) YAY for granola!
