update…

Okay, I’m starting to run out of steam, but I’m nearly through all the laundry I wanted to do today, I’ve done my books in the sewing room, I’m about to go out the door and pick up sticks while the kids run around in the yard, I’ve gotten a lot more done in the utility room, and I’ve been just generally decluttering.  Whew!   After picking up sticks, folding the last couple loads of laundry, and fixing dinner I’ll be done.  Well, except that David had an astronomy meeting tonight so I’ll be putting the kids to bed by myself and then, then!  I’ll get to start on my new quilt!

As I was saying earlier, cleaning is good therapy for me.  When certain areas of my life feel out-of-control, I have to find ways to exert control.  And, honestly, its a lot healthier for me to exert obsessive control over my house than my weight, so I guess this is a pretty good choice.  Plus, I’ll have an incredibly beautiful house after a couple weeks of this!  I think I’m also going to try to sew some new curtains for the utility room either tonight or tomorrow… I used to have cloth diapers hanging up as curtains (it really was cute), but then I sold all our cloth diapers when we decided we were done having kids, so now my windows are bare.  But since I just went through all my fabric while organizing my sewing room I have lots of choices!!
