We had an absolutely wonderful, magical, amazing Christmas!  Even though Ellie had an allergic reaction to orange juice and we had a very small fire (not in the fireplace) tonight.

Ellie’s had some benedryl and is sleeping and her hives are almost gone, the fire was doused by me and David and we’re re-aranging our kitchen.  Here’s a helpful hint: don’t store dishtowels and cloth napkins in a drawer under the cooktop – even if the people who lived here before you did for 20 years with no problem.  Lesson learned!  And, luckily the kids slept through it all.  I now have a pot of water with baking soda boiling on the stove to get the smoky smell out of the house – anyone else have any tips for that?
