I am very thankful that the four of us are all okay tonight.  We’ve been back in Virginia for 18 months and hit a deer for the first time tonight.  It cracked the front bumper in two places and popped the grill out of position, but doesn’t seem to have damaged the car’s engine and – most importantly! – we are all just fine.  The kids even slept through it!  David did a great job slowing down as much as possible and he was calm enough not to swerve and put us in danger of going off the road.

Again, I am very thankful!
