Here’s some pictures from Granny’s visit – we all had a wonderful time!

And, if anyone is curious about the prepwork I did to get the house ready for visitors, first of all note the gleaming cabinets in the above picture!  I washed and waxed all the cabinets!  I also recovered the dining room chairs and finally got a new rug to cover the weird grate/vent in the floor in front of the fireplace, and made matching slipcovers for the couch pillows:

I also mowed the lawn, set out fall/Halloween decorations, and did a lot of weeding.  David was kind enough to do the weed-eating for me, though.
