Part 3 – Thanksgiving!

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

We had a fabulous meal today! On the menu was: turkey, stuffing (my parents make this amazing stuffing with red wine and sausage, I wait for it all year long!), gravy, whole wheat flax rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, pineapple sweet potato casserole, creamed cabbage, deviled eggs, and cranberry-orange sauce. Everything was delicous!

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

Some friends called this morning to let us know they’d be in Floyd today, so we got together.  The last time we saw Rheaghan and Lucas was at his baptism over three years ago.  Here were Killy and Lucas then (with their daddies):

Here’s some pictures of my latest quilting projects…

David and I’s favorite is the one I made tonight, using the batik fabrics I bought a couple weeks ago:

I’m playing around with different binding techniques and I’m still not settled on any that I like better than the way I was doing it originally, which was what [...]

oh my aching legs

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

I’ve decided in a last ditch effort to stop the obesity threatening to take over my body to take up running. (Okay, I realize I might be being a touch melodramatic, I guess gaining 10 lbs that makes my size four jeans a bit snug doesn’t really qualify as obesity…)  I’ve never enjoyed running, even [...]
