thank goodness Friday is almost over!

I had a pretty crummy day – Ellie has been uber-whiney, which isn’t like her at all and has made it a really, really, really long day. But, we had a lovely lunch out with mom (Mexican – YUM! small taco salad sans shell, a chile relleno, and beans… mmmmm) and ran a few errands. I found some giant fake candy-canes to put in my empty flowerbed in front of the house. Really, it doesn’t look as cheesy as it sounds!

I also argued with my latest quilt for much of the day. I designed the pattern myself, sewed up all the blocks (all 132 of them, plus a few extras), and then laid it out and it just didn’t look as good as it had in my head. So, I rearranged the blocks twice until I found a new pattern I liked. I’ll do a post detailing that with pictures after Christmas, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise of the quilt for my parents. (they know they’re getting a quilt, but don’t know what it looks like!)

Its the last day of the month and I have only five minutes of working out to reach my monthly goal… but I have no motivation! David and I are going to watch a movie in a little while, though, and I’ll work out during that. I’m so excited that I’ve met my goal every month – at the end of next month I will have met my goal for the year! Go, New Year’s Resolutions!!!
