Good few days!
First things first, David took the most beautiful picture of Ellie the other day:

Well, aside from working on my quilt this weekend, and working my butt off trying to get all my exercise minutes in, I’ve also had an afternoon off and I got to go get my hair done. Other than the stylist running 45 minutes late, and then being stuck in traffic on the interstate for 40 minutes on the way home, I had a lovely afternoon. I had coffee with a friend, then did a lot of shopping! I bought a couple cute skirts at Old Navy at the mall, bought a quilting book and a basket for toy-storage at Michael’s, and found all the policeman accessories I needed for Killy’s Halloween costume at Toys R Us. What a productive day! And relaxing, too!
Tonight Mama, Dad, Nanny, and Auntie came over for dinner and I fixed a fabulous meal, if I do say so myself. Chicken breaded with panko breadcrumbs and seasoned with curry fried in a little bit of olive oil, carribean rice from a mix with extra pineapple added in, butternut squash from my garden (my dad doesn’t like squash, but he had about four servings of it! so I must be doing something really right!), and black beans. For dessert I made a crustless coconut pie – I thought that would go well with the curry/carribean theme of the meal. Nana was quite impressed with Killy’s quilt and the wreath I’d made, and asked if I was going to turn out another quilt out this week. I think I’ll go on and make Ellie’s quilt, which will probably go even faster than Killy’s since its from the same pattern and I’m all practiced-up now.
