grump, grump

I don’t know why I’m so grumpy all of a sudden. Oh, wait! Could it be the two screaming toddlers, the messy house, and the fact that David hasn’t actually listened when I talk in about two years?!

In order to cheer myself up, I’ll talk about the good stuff so far today:

-I had a nice bikeride. David fixed my flat tire last night and filled the front tire, too, and my bike rode better than it has in a month!
-I had a nice chat with some other Blue Mountain School people when picking Killy up, and it looks like some things are going to happen that will make it way easier for me to help them get grants.

-Killy’s teacher was telling me that he’s doing GREAT learning to write letters, and that she thinks he’s just adorable.

-I made fabulous grilled sandwhiches for dinner. (simple, I know – but these were really darn good!)

-I’m catching up on my exercise minutes!

-Killy’s quilt is coming along amazingly. That rotary cutter (and I sprung for the big mat) is wonderful! Last night I started on it, and before I went to bed at 1am, I had the entire patchwork laid out on the floor. Tonight I’ll sew it together and put on the border, tomorrow I’ll put in the batting and attach it to the back, and the day after I’ll do the quilting by machine. So, it should be done by this weekend!

-Tomorrow I’m getting my hair cut. My hair has suddenly gotten too long and un-stylish, so it’ll feel nice to have it be cute again. Plus, I got a dark rinse I’ll do on my hair tomorrow night to get rid of my natural summer highlights (which I don’t care for). So, maybe by this weekend I’ll be feeling pretty again. :)
