freaky Kansas weather!
Yesterday it was beautiful: 70s, sunny, slight breeze… I took the kids for a nice long walk to the park where we played on the swings and playground.
Today:

(Yes, I know his neck looks cold – I decided I’m going to crochet him a scarf for Christmas.) It was mostly ice outside when we played this afternoon, but we’re supposedly going to get 6-12 inches of snow by tomorrow night! That would be awesome! Killy kept looking for snowmen outside today, I think he thinks they just appear in winter. The first day it was really cold this year, I was helping him get dressed and told him it was really cold outside and he immediately asked if we could go look for snowmen. Today, he kept asking to go outside and look for snowmen, and when we were finally outside, every once in awhile he’d say, “Where snowman?” and run around looking for one.
Anyway, we eventually came inside, had hot chocolate, and then we worked in the kitchen:

By the way, “working” in the kitchen means I cooked dinner while Killy played in the sink! However, when he plays in the sink I inevitably have to clean all the counters right afterward because of all the water… so I guess he’s helping me keep house in a round-about way.
At dinner, Ellie played a really gross game of hide-n-seek after she ate her red beans and rice:

TOO CUTE! I love those pictures! I’m still giggling over looking for snowmen that spontaneously sprout up from the snow-covered ground. You should make one at night so he can see it in the morning!
That freakish weather sounds like the time you visited Austin and it was gorgeous and in the 70s all weekend. Then for my birthday on Monday we had an ice storm. Awesome…

That’s Camille with the red bean and rice. She loves beans and loves to play peek a boo after dinner!
