FINISHED DOLLS, fun gym playtime, and a funny conversation

Well, I went on and embroidered the faces, and they turned out great!  (Not perfect, but still great.)  Here they are!  Now I just have to wait almost a month to give them to the kids…

Several of the community centers around here do free play gymtime for toddlers.  Basically, they fill their gym with toddler stuff: tricycles, push cars, slides, tents, bouncy palaces, and then it costs only $1 for a child to play for 1-2 hours!  I am so thrilled that there are several good ones around here.  I think my weekly schedule with the kids for the winter will be:

Monday – gymtime at Lenexa

Tuesday – either speech therapy or the Children’s Museum (special toddler art stuff on Tues)
Wednesday – play at the Great Mall and take Auntie to lunch

Thursday – gymtime at Merriam

Friday – Children’s Museum (they do music classes in the AM on Fridays, but I haven’t been able to get Killy interested in those yet)

Killy and I had the funniest conversation…

Killy: Lemonade!  My cup!  (he was asking where his cup of lemonade went, he’d put a bunch of popcorn in it so I’d thrown it away)

Jen: I threw it away because you filled it with popcorn.

Killy: NOT NICE!  Not nice throw away lemonade!  More!

Jen: (fixing cup of lemonade so I wasn’t looking at him directly)  I’ll fix you more, but don’t put popcorn in it again.

Killy: LOOK AT ME!  (waits till I look at him)  Not nice throw away lemonade.

Jen: I’ll make you a deal: I won’t throw away your lemonade cup if you won’t put popcorn in it.

Killy: Okay. (sigh)

Life is tough when you have such a mean mommy, huh?
