Lots o’ fun!

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

We’re having a great time with Grandmommie and Pop-Pop here!  We had a leisurely morning, I took Auntie to work while the kids stayed home with the grandparents, and then we went to the children’s farmstead this afternoon.  Then, we had some fabulous local barbeque, which seems to have been caffinated based on how hyper [...]

frazzled!

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

Okay, I’m completely frazzled… My in-laws arrive tomorrow and I need to: catch up on laundry, straighten up the house, mop the floors, srub tub/tile in hall bathroom, put sheets on the guest bed… Plus, tomorrow is Wednesday, which is our botanical gardens and children’s farmstead and lunch with Auntie Erin day. So, I’ll [...]

new heights of domesticity

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Suddenly, its lovely chilly weather. So chilly, in fact, that David put the electric blanket on our bed. I know its a terribly un-hippy thing for me to have/use, but I LOVE my electric blanket!
The kids have been uber-cute this week. Ellie’s new trick is that when you say, “Can I have [...]

Portrait Party

Monday, October 9th, 2006

One of my friends hosted a Portrait Party this morning.  The photographer set up in her living room and all the kids played in the basement while each family took their turns doing portraits.  It went very well, I think.  Killy and Ellie were absolutely adorable, and I think there will be some BEAUTIFUL pictures [...]

I love hiking!

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

Today, David and I hiked 8 miles with the kids!  And, we did it in 2 hours and 15 minutes.  I carried Ellie in the Ergo, and we used our single jogging stroller to contain Killian.  The kids slept through most of it, actually.  Its a trail we’ve found in a local park that actually [...]
