How observant!

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

So, I came downstairs this morning after my shower, and Killy looked up at me and said, “Mean to Ellie!” (he’s in a phase where he tells on himself all the time) And I said, “Killy, it makes Mommy very sad when you’re mean to Ellie.” and he replied, “No – Ellie sad!”

Christmas planning already?!

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

But of course!
I’m going to be sewing Waldorf style dolls for the kids for Christmas.  These are big heavy dolls (sometimes called Therapy Dolls) filled with rice and lavender.  Killy’s will be 16 inches and green and Ellie’s will be 12 inches and red:

I’m very grateful for the time we had with David’s grandmother. Great-Grandmommy passed away on Friday and her funeral is [...]

Pictures!

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

Before I do a picture post here, I have to share: Killy broke his “pick one truck” yesterday by throwing it.  David fixed it overnight and gave it back to him this morning and Killy was so excited!  He said, “Thank you, Daddy, fix my truck!”  What a nice, long sentance!
In Chattanooga, we got to [...]

Speech therapy progress

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

So, I am feeling better about Killy being in speech therapy (thank you, Aunt Katie and Laura!), especially since I got Killy’s six month progress report today.
At 21 months when Killy had his initial evaluation, his verbal expressive skills were at a 17 month level (23rd percentile) and his receptive language skills were at a [...]
