Good day

It was a pretty good day today. David let me sleep in, and I actually slept till 9:30! Then, I took the kids to the farmer’s market and for about $13 I got: two bags of sweet potatoes, a bag of tomatoes (including one heirloom tomato that my mom specially requested), a bag of fresh basil, garlic, 3 red peppers, a bag of shucked sweet corn, and a nice lady gave the kids an apple to munch on while we were there. Ellie was wearing pigtails (of course!) and looking quite adorable, and Killy was being super-cute and wanting to help carry the bags of produce.

Anyway, when we got home Killy went down for his nap and Erin and I went to the thrift store to find t-shirts to modify. Erin is really into modifying t-shirts, and I decided to try my hand at it (more on that later). I got some cute clothes for the kids, some great t-shirts for myself, and a GORGEOUS dress for myself. Its fairly dressy and not at all breastfeeding friendly, so I don’t know when I’ll wear it… but it was a size 1/2 and fit great! Its a beige slip-dress with a lacy black overlay and it looks really sexy. We got back home from the thrift store and I took the kids to the park to play. While we were at the park, Killy dug my cell phone out of the stroller and said, “Phone! Pop-pop!” So, we called Pop-pop and talked to him for awhile.

When we got back I did a bit of laundry and then we ordered Chinese take out. It was divine! I seriously ate my weight in Chinese food tonight! Then we got the kids ready for bed, and once they were asleep I modified the t-shirt and it turned out pretty cute! Again, I have no idea where I’ll ever wear this. Where would a mother wear a halter top with a Bacardi logo?

Edited to add: Okay, I removed the link because I didn’t think anyone would actually follow it!  Now I’m embarassed that so many people saw my in my skimpy shirt!
