Nice weekend
Yesterday was Erin’s birthday and we celebrated accordingly. I baked her the same cake she requests every year (brownie with peanut butter icing):

Now, whenever Killy hears the word “birthday” he starts yelling “cake! cake!” and runs to the dining room. However, what he’s actually interested in are the birthday candles on the cake. I gave him a piece of cake, but he spent most of the party putting candles into hsi slice of cake and begging me to light them so he could blow them out again and again:

Killy and Ellie got her the first season of Numb3rs on DVD:

And, David and I got her a CD burner and new USB port for her laptop. Then, Erin and I went out (sans kiddos!) for lunch and to see Clerks II. That was one of the grossest and most hilarious movies I’ve ever seen. I’m almost embarassed to admit how much I liked it and how much I laughed in the theater. Erin described it perfectly: “Its equally raunchy and tender.” Then, for dinner we got Chinese takout from a fabulous local place… mmmmmm
Church was nice today, and Killy’s favorite church friend was there today so he had a wonderful time playing with her, while I had a lovely time chatting with her mom. I was very smart this morning and took the jogging stroller, so while Erin practices with the praise band before church (we get there 1.5 hours before service starts so she can rehearse) the kids and I strolled around Westport. It was lovely!
