Egg, egg, egg!
This is how I was greeted by Killy this afternoon. I wasn’t feeling well, so I was laying on the couch half asleep, when Killy ran into the room and said, “Egg, egg, egg!” I looked up at him, and his hands were very shiny, and there was a small piece of eggshell on one finger. I followed him to the kitchen, where I saw this:

The refridgerator had been left unlocked, and he had managed to get the eggs off the second to top shelf (I don’t know how, exactly), and had neatly broken all 12 of them. He put the shells on his kitchen riser, and all the egg-insides into the lid of the cardboard egg carton. It was actually pretty impressive for a not-quite-two-year-old. He watched me fry eggs for lunch yesterday, so I think he was trying to cook. I ask him what he was cooking, and his only answer was, “Uh-oh.”
And, since there’s a cute picture of Killy, I better add a cute picture of Ellie:

Oh the memories! About 4 months ago I came out of the bathroom to discover Joe and Caleb had cracked 18 eggs onto the living room carpet. Let me tell you, eggs will stain! I’m glad Killy managed to crack them in a more appropriate place.

Killy looks so grown up there! And Ellie is, of course, adorable!
