It was a lovely Halloween! Killy wore his costume all day (except when it got wet playing in the backyard, but as soon as it was dry it went back on), we took him to get a haircut, went grocery shopping, hung out at the house during the afternoon, painted pumpkins, went trick-or-treating, and [...]

This morning we went to church, and it was wonderful! Mary Virginia watched Killy in the nursery and I actually got to sit in the sanctuary and listen to the music and sermon! (There’s a speaker in the nursery, but with Killy and other kids I don’t get to really pay attention.) [...]

We had such a fun day: shopping, playdate with friends who brought adorable gifts for Killy and the baby, lovely dinner, nice evening walk… It was great! Being able to be out and about and do the basics (pick up toys off the floor, fix some meals, make the bed, etc) is helping me [...]

All I can think about is this baby being born! I’m getting so impatient! I can’t wait to see whether its Zac or Ellie, if the baby is as big as the midwife predicts, if the birth is as fast as last time, if I’ll lose all the pregnancy weight by the Christmas [...]

(Edited to add: The midwife might have taken me off bedrest, but both my mother and my mother-in-law are ordering me to stay on bedrest for at least a few more days! Mary Virginia arrives Saturday afternoon, so she wants me to take it easy till then. My mom arrives on November 19th, [...]
