bummer!
So, the mile markings on the walking trail we’ve been walking every night for the past month are wrong! It said “.4 miles” but in reality its only .3 miles! So, that means that our estimate of how far we’ve been walking has been wrong by at least a couple miles every week. David checked it on Google Earth and then we checked it with our pedometer and sure enough, its off. Since we were doing 2-3 loops a night that adds up! But, we’ve found an alternate route back that makes up the difference, so we shouldn’t have to change our routine too much. But its still frustrating that we didn’t really do over 17 miles last week. Of course, the important things are that we’ve been (1) walking EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and (2) increasing out total walking every week for the past month. I’m still proud of us, but I liked bragging about how much we’d walked!
This weekend was weird. Being down to one car complicated things a little bit, and I spend a lot of time working on the wedding album for Katie and Trav. I did a lot of photo-editing to make all the pictures look just right, as well as rearanging the wedding album several times. I got this gorgeous wedding album kit with beautifully multi-layered pages that are decorated with calligraphy and ribbons (okay, the ribbons sounds dumb and frilly, but they’re actually really well done and very sophiticated). After I’ve sent it off to Katie and Trav then I’ll post the final edited pictures in the gallery, but I want Katie and Trav to be the first ones to see them.
Tomorrow will be a typically long day, taking Erin to work, gotta stop by work to pick up some stuff, take Killy to the pool, do the weekly grocery shopping, pick Erin up, etc… Its been ridicously hot this week (close to 100 or higher every day), but after tomorrow we’re supposed to have several days of it being in the lower 80’s. Whew! We haven’t even been going to the pool since the heat index has been over 100 every day. I can’t wait to get back into our normal routing. OH! And tomorrow we’re supposed to get our minivan back, with its brand new torque converter. I love that minivan, and I was soooo sad to see it go back to the dealership to get fixed, its amazing how quickly I got used to having it and how completely cramped the Taurus seems now.
