finally!
I am finally starting to feel a bit better! I still need a nice long nap in the middle of the day - handy that I have a toddler, eh? - but I can actually get a few things done. Today I made dinner and weeded the rock garden behind the office. I still need to weed the garden beside the kitchen and the front garden, but I’m trying to pace myself. I’m also in the stage of pregnancy where I’m now craving lettuce and tomato sandwiches. I thought I would die this afternoon without one, so I had to go to the grocery store and get lettuce and tomato. And, I’ve discovered that cranberry juice mixed with lemonade is the BEST drink ever!
Killy was so cute playing outside while I was weeding! I love that we have a fenced-in backyard where he can play without me having to hover over him all the time. I put up some BEAUTIFUL pictures of Killy in the gallery - look in the May 17th album. The last picture in the album is the best one - I’m going to have to have a bunch of those printed out to send to relatives.
Killy’s suddenly able (willing?) to follow directions, which is so cool - knowing that he totally understands what I’m saying and can act on it. Like if I ask him to bring me a specific toy, he will. After he finished his oatmeal this morning I told him that I was going to get a paper towel to wipe off his hands, and that if he wanted any more water to go on and drink it - and he reached for his cup immediately and drank some more water! (Of course, I sign as I’m talking, too.) Also, this morning while eating breakfast he kept pointing to pictures on his placemat and waiting for me to tell him the name of each object - its a Sesame Street mat with a different object for each letter of the alphabet. He was all excited when he noticed the picture of a duck on it, and when he pointed to it I said, “That’s a duck!” and he got all excited and said, “Duck!”

I’m soooooo glad you’re feeling better! Nearly to the calendar day, right?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics of Killy outside. He’s such a cutie! I adore the rolls on his legs. (hee hee) He’s so BIG!
It’s awesome that he’s following directions. I can’t wait to hear him talk! It will be so different when I visit this time.
