2 steps!
Killy took 2 consecutive steps today – twice in a row! But then wouldn’t take any more. He took two steps to get from David to me, and then did it again to get from me to David.
Today I CLEANED the bathroom – scrubbing the shower for 30 minutes, then doing the toilet, the counters, and the mirror and everything! I hate scrubbing the shower, but its a neccesary evil. I hate even seeing grimy showers, and I certainly don’t want to shower in them. I think the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me was last year when I was nine months pregnant and miserable my parents came to visit and my mom walked in the house, put a load of laundry in the wash, scrubbed the shower/bath (do you know how hard it is to scrub a bathtub when you’re nine months pregnant?!), and then fixed dinner. All without me asking! It was heavenly. Before they left my dad also vacuumed the whole house without being asked. That’s love. Anyway, I need to sweep and mop all the floors, but I can do that tomorrow – I’m exhausted and ready for bed now.
Erin and I went out to lunch and then shopping this afternoon, which was nice. I got some cute clothes for this summer. In August we’re going to the beach for a week with my parents and sister and I’m soooo excited! We’re staying in a two-bedroom two-bathroom condo on the beach (we don’t have to cross any streets to get to the ocean) and it has a pool. Mom got a really good deal on it, too. David and I will hopefully have bought a minivan by then so we’ll even travel in comfort. I can’t wait to take Killy to the ocean and watch him play in the sand and in the water! I loved going to the beach when I was a kid, we went every summer for a week.
